Misleading and a major scam
Strand by strand treatment costing more than 5000 euros was misleading. What you get is a horrid hair piece stuck to your head after they shave your head!
On their website you are not told this as you have to see them to get the details. When I arrived the chicanery began by a manager who showed his before and after pictures while neglecting to mention that his before picture was with her head shaved before sticking the hair piece on. He claimed that I was getting a discount by signing on the spot which I was *** enough to believe. I still question the validity of what I signed as I did not tick the box to say that I fully understood what I was buying.
Not once was it mentioned that I was going to have my head shaved and have a hair piece glued. The contract was also highly punitive against the client. No cooling off period and a huge penalty even if you cancel immediately. If you want to keep that hair piece you will have to see them every 4-8 weeks at a maintenance cost of 80 euros each time so they can shave your hair under the hair piece and re-glue the hair piece on your head.
Not to mention the amount of shampoos and gel that you have to buy to maintain that hair piece. I complained to the advertising standards in Ireland but they did not bother to act. I complained to the consumers' agency in October 2013 and was interviewed over the phone but heard nothing since. Advanced Hair Studio tried to make me sign another disclaimer offering me some sort of home laser treatment if I did but I refused.
Honestly I am still wondering how this company is still allowed to operate in Ireland.
I am still annoyed that I was so *** not to have read reviews online before going through with this. However I believe what goes around comes around and this sort of business will soon be totally exposed for what it is.
